The South Heath is worth a visit. Very beautiful, rural, peaceful and full of surprises. If you are looking for a change from the campsite then there are attractive places nearby to visit including the ducal city of Celle and the Hannover Zoo. 

 

Enjoy the unique experience of a horse carriage ride through the heath or explore the extensive woods by bike. Take a canoe trip on the Örtze and Aller. If you want more action – try the Heide Park Resort in Soltau. It is one of the biggest theme parks in Germany with an area of 850,000 sqm.
